Wine Competitions

Judged competitions with blind tastings are a great way to have professional third party groups rank our wine against our peers on the state and national level. These wine professionals range from sommeliers, to restaurant owners, to those in wine journalism, and other wine makers. Not only is it fun and educational for us to be a part of these competitions, but the ones we enter also support good causes. These are the ones we have entered so far:

Missouri Wine Competition: only available to wineries in the State of Missouri who produce their own wine. Proceeds go to the Missouri Wine Industry, whose resources and marketing are crucial for new and existing wineries in the state

The Jefferson Cup: an invitation-only national competition, named after Thomas Jefferson, who had a deep love of wine from being an ambassador to France, and worked tirelessly to help start the wine industry in the eastern U.S. His work laid the foundation of the grapes we can successfully grow in Missouri. Proceeds of this competition go to Angel Flight Central- a not-for-profit providing air lift services to those in need.
